BRAKE MOTORS

Coel is a dynamic company having a wide expertise in the field of electric motors, currently providing the widest range of products. Together with the standard brake motors (sizes between 56 and 315), Coel also developed a line of special products, thus offering competence and flexibility.

General features:
The cases are made of aluminum for sizes between 56 and 160 and of cast iron for sizes between 180 and 315.
All windings are made by phase insulation in order to provide for profitability in all applications, especially when using converters, while the stators are made of rolled plates in order to diminish magnetic losses.
Besides the standard version, at the client’s requests, special designs may also be executed.

General technical data:

• Protection class IP 54 (or higher, by request)
• Insulation class: F (or higher, by request)
• All brake motors from the F series are equipped with a manual unlocking screw (by request, the series FK, FKL, and FM can also be equipped with such device)
• all COEL motors can be used with frequency converters
• the shaft is made of steel 38NCD4
• the insulation is made for each individual phase

F Series –for very heavy load cycles

These feature internal and external ventilation. The braking gears and all the parts are manufactured by Coel. The braking gear is supplied in series with three phase alternative current, however, by request, the version with continuous current is also available.

FK Series

For applications that do not need a high baking moment, but which need, however, some reliable braking gear.

FKL Series

Equipped with a flywheel to allow for a gradual start and braking; suited for bottling equipments, gantry cranes and such applications for which these are indispensable; gradual start and braking, no noise.

SW Series

Non-ventilated motors, suited for S2 or S3 loads.
designed for applications where the brake motor often enters in direct contact with the water: marine applications or when the motor needs to be immersed in water for cleaning.
